1. Your agreement with StubJoy
These terms govern use of StubJoy’s website, organizer tools, ticket sites, APIs and staff applications, provided by Bellu Development LLC (“StubJoy,” “we” or “us”). Contact [email protected] for service questions or Andrew Bellucci ([email protected]) for business inquiries. By accepting these terms when presented or using the service where legally effective, you agree to them. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it.
Our services are currently offered for use in the United States. Organizer account holders and ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Organizer and staff accounts must be used by authorized individuals. Staff under 18 may use the service only with organizer authorization and appropriate parent or guardian permission and supervision. Organizers are responsible for compliance with applicable rules governing minor staff. Minors may attend events where permitted, but an adult must purchase their tickets and a parent or legal guardian must complete any required guardian agreements. Event-specific admission rules, waivers and refund terms are agreements with the organizer and must be presented separately; these terms do not replace them.
2. The platform and the organizer
StubJoy provides technology for publishing events, selling and delivering tickets, collecting agreement acceptances, checking guests in and redeeming benefits. The organizer supplies the event and is responsible for its descriptions, scheduling, capacity, safety, accessibility, permits, taxes, admission rules and delivery of advertised benefits.
Ticket purchases are transactions with the identified organizer. StubJoy does not guarantee that an event will occur or that organizer content is accurate. Nothing in these terms removes responsibility that applicable law places on StubJoy.
3. Accounts and authorized access
Provide accurate account information, protect credentials and API keys, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Organizers must manage staff and vendor permissions and remove access when it is no longer needed. You are responsible for activity you authorize and for your integrations’ use of the service.
4. Prices, fees and payments
The applicable ticket price, taxes and buyer-paid fees are shown at checkout before payment. Organizer fees are those disclosed in the applicable pricing information or a separate written agreement. Fee-forwarding settings may change how fees are allocated, and disclosed rounding may affect the final total.
Online payments are processed through Stripe. Organizers must maintain an eligible connected Stripe account and comply with applicable Stripe agreements. Payouts, verification, reserves and payment disputes are subject to Stripe’s rules. Organizers remain responsible for their financial and tax obligations. StubJoy service fees and payment-processing fees are generally nonrefundable, whether passed to buyers or absorbed by organizers, subject to the cancellation, postponement, duplicate-charge and legally required exceptions in our Refund Policy. Organizers must disclose buyer-paid fees and their refund treatment before purchase. Refund handling is described in our Refund Policy and the event’s terms.
5. Tickets, entry and agreements
Check the event, date, arrival time, quantity and attendee information before placing an order. Keep ticket QR codes private. Entry and benefit redemption depend on a valid ticket and the event’s disclosed conditions. Contact the organizer about admission, duplicate scans, transfers, schedule changes or event accessibility.
Read event agreements before accepting them. An electronic acceptance may be recorded with the agreement text, supplied fields and timestamp. Organizers are responsible for the legality and suitability of their waivers and for obtaining any required guardian consent.
6. Content and information responsibilities
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant StubJoy permission to host, display, transmit and process it as needed to provide the service. You must have the necessary rights and ensure your content is accurate, lawful and does not infringe others’ rights.
Organizers must provide appropriate privacy notices, obtain required permissions and use attendee information only for lawful purposes. Access to ticket information does not itself authorize unrelated marketing. Any required data-processing agreement should be established separately before processing that requires it.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use StubJoy for unlawful or fraudulent events; sell counterfeit tickets; impersonate others; upload malicious code; bypass access controls; misuse attendee data; attempt unauthorized scanning or redemption; or disrupt the service. Do not use the APIs to extract data you are not authorized to access. Follow documented API limits and protect integration secrets.
8. Availability and suspension
Features may change, and maintenance, network failures or third-party outages may interrupt the service. Organizers should plan for connectivity problems at the venue. We may restrict access to address security threats, unlawful use, material violations or legal requirements, and provide notice when appropriate and lawful.
You may stop using the service and request account closure through [email protected]. Closing an account does not automatically cancel tickets, refund orders or erase records that must be retained. Organizers must resolve outstanding event and payment obligations.
9. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without additional implied warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Each party remains responsible for its own conduct and applicable legal obligations. Nothing in these terms excludes non-waivable warranties, statutory consumer remedies or liability that cannot legally be limited.
[CONFIRM ANY COMMERCIAL LIABILITY CAP, EXCLUDED DAMAGES AND ORGANIZER INDEMNITY WITH LEGAL COUNSEL BEFORE ADDING THEM.]
10. Disputes and changes
Contact [email protected] about a platform dispute so we can try to resolve it. Contact the organizer first about event delivery or ticket refunds. North Carolina law governs these terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Platform disputes may be brought in courts of competent jurisdiction in North Carolina, subject to any mandatory rights to bring claims elsewhere. This draft does not impose arbitration or waive class proceedings.
We will post revised terms with an effective date and provide notice or obtain agreement where required. Changes will not retroactively remove rights attached to an existing purchase. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law.
